Why do people think that because armed robbers show no mercy therefore they must suffer jungle justice.

I find such a reasoning flawed. That a man will treat a fellow man in such a gruesome manner and take delight in it shows the level of decadence in the society. Both the armed robber and those meting out jungle justice are one and the same. They are both murderers. If they say armed robber should be killed, they also deserve the same treatment.

Sad, it is a deadlock! The robbers show no mercy and even kill when stealing if ever you have been their victim, when people catch them and get the police involved, nothing seems to happen and the robber usually still ends up going scotfree, the people catch a thief, angry with the system and in a swift reaction to the robbery incidence, beat up or even kill the robber advocates of civility or what have, all begin to speak out and protest against such instant "justice".

If ever you have been robbed and your life was on the line, you would know better and see things differently. So sad, these are all symptoms of a failing sytem which we find ourselves.
