Twitter has got a new tactic to put away the online bullies. The Twitter timeout feature will restrict the abusive online users. The company might also block the account if it finds any comments offensive. Only the followers of the banned account can see the tweet until the ban is lifted. Last week on February, Twitter started temporarily limiting the accounts.

A lot of users were restricted for a temporary period. They took screenshots of the messages Twitter sent them. According to the message they violated “company’s content rules.” There is 12 hours restriction on the account. Before 12 hours, they cannot tweet. But this ban will vary depending on the behavior of the offender.

A statement on the Twitter website explains these temporary timeouts will create a safer environment on the social network. There is no explanation about how Twitter detects if an account will be temporarily restricted or entirely suspended from Twitter login. But it only said the company is looking at overall context rather than just the potentially offensive keywords.
