I'm a big fan of Tim Godfrey no doubt...

but looking at the lyrics of this song confirms alot that's been going on in my mind.
"gospel songwriters" lack depth in their songs...nothing bad in having such kinda songs...but when it's not balanced with songs with deep meaning and rich lyrical content, it just tends to fade off after a while.

DL wrote "The Prayer of Jabez" now that's what I'm talking about.
