You Can Be Spiritual And Beautiful: Shake Off Dowdy And Dress For Joy... by EbennyBestLook: 8:57am On Mar 02, 2017
It's not your fault if you imagine that to be spiritual you have to forgo primping and preening. After all, isn't the current message from gurus that appearance isn't important? While there's nothing wrong with the idea, it can be misconstrued. You only have to look at nature to see beauty is abundant. Indeed, displaying your bright plumage helps you celebrate life and connect with joy.

CHANGE YOUR PERSPECTIVE

If your appearance isn't significant, then why choose drab? You can decide to be gorgeous when it doesn't matter how you look. Doing so isn't the act of shallowness you might think. The concept of not spending time on appearance came about as a way of teaching people to look within. The thought was they would be better off cultivating personal growth. Being beautiful on the outside, though, isn't a problem.

WHY DRABNESS BRINGS YOU DOWN

People often associate drabness with gray skies and doom and gloom. When you don't allow yourself to shine, you block happiness. Wearing the garb of someone who doesn't celebrate life's vivacity brings you down. Indeed, depression sometimes causes people to neglect their appearance, which echoes their anxiety. Dress like someone with depression, and your emotions will plummet.

RECONNECT WITH JOY

You don't need to buy new clothes to reconnect with joy, just change how you wear the clothes you own. Often, clothing that looks plain worn one way looks terrific worn in another way. You can mix what seems to be a frumpy suit with a dissimilar one, or add a bright scarf. Likewise, other accessories can enliven a dull outfit.

No doubt, several garments, saved for special occasions, hide in your closet. You own clothes you adore but hardly wear. Consider using them often, every day even. The concept of only wearing your best clothing at specific times is a meme; a made up rule you don't have to follow.

BOOST JOY EACH DAY

Once you've reconnected with joy, expand your practice. Dress only in clothes that make you feel good. Wear jewelry you love, but often forget to use. Groom as a way of rejoicing in life. Have fun with fashion and beauty, choosing to shine rather than fade into the background. As a result, others will respond to your high vibration. They will feel your positive energy and enjoy your transformation.

One of the greatest spiritual teachings today is to be an instrument of what you seek. If you want joy, step on the wavelength of happiness, amplifying it by behaving in joyful ways. Happy people with advanced minds rarely dress down for spiritual reasons. Even the Dalai Lama wears flowing robes in beautiful colors. You can also strengthen your link with beauty by making the most of your appearance.
