In a most daring fashion, Google has decided to push ahead with the integration of Google Messenger into the Android Eco-system. With this development, SMS which handles plain text would be discarded in favour of Rich Communication Services (RCS) which handles more multimedia just like WhatsApp To ensure this, Google has renamed the Google messenger to Android messages and it would come pre-installed as the default messaging app in upcoming phones. The roll out would be in phases, click to see which networks are selected to start the Android Messages Service

very feasible. it might be the next big thing in android world. imagine being able to text without a third party app. |
