The University of Lagos Nigeria via its official Facebook page has reacted to a post on Nairaland; https://www.nairaland.com/3660465/unilag-students-asked-kneel-down
about students of the University who were asked to kneel down as a form of punishment at the department of Geography, faculty of social sciences. The management described the act as regrettable and totally unacceptable.

The University of Lagos is aware of the recent report on Nairaland.com, titled; “Unilag Students Asked to Kneel Down and Raise Up Hands”, and is investigating the issues raised.
Our records have confirmed that the lecturer at the centre of the report is a staff of the Department of Geography, Faculty of Social Sciences.
This incident is regrettable and totally unacceptable.

Check his syllabus and handouts for the semester and you'll find out it's the same as the one he used 10years ago word for word.... #Iranu

So what will they do? Nothing but to keep quiet. The student's are at fault and the lecturer felt that sending them out for coming late will give them the excuse to go away and be happy self. So he decided to use the late comers to serve as a deterrent for others to learn their lesson.So from today it will unheard of student's came to his class late. It's either you come early or you stay back home without coming again.
