Good afternoon everyone. Today I received a mail of a credit alert on my Gtbank. The number I use for fone alert was off so I couldn't confirm it. The mail was so convincing but I had to take a closer look which an average person wouldn't have due to the similar sender name, mail address and page design. On a closer look, I was referred to as *Dear customer* Primarily Gtbank will write out ur name boldly and they never send u attachments. Secondly the attachment was in a self executing format which means they no longer use links to get ur details.. . Wat ever they attached could be a key logger or a virus or whatsoever... My advice is to everyone either Gtbank or not is to not let anxiety drive u to get into hackers mess.. . I receive mails like this all the time and I ignore them as usual but the reason why I had to raise this alarm is because of the self executing file attached...
