Garri is a food processed from Cassava and amongst the stable food eaten in most part of Nigeria especially the southern States. But its price has been soaring high almost on a weekly basis and in some parts of Rivers State, one cup of Garri is now N100. A few years ago, you can buy 6 cups of Garri with the same N100.

Just before this government took over, it was 5 cups for N100. A basin of Garri that was sold for N1,500 now sells for N5,500.

We have vast land and rain still falls. Please can someone really tell us what might be responsible for this and the situation in your area.

Imagine what we plant and process ourselves... We are our own problem.

Yeah, everything is now on the high side, the price of other commodities influence the hike in price of garri. No body is ready to sell his/her thing at a cheaper rate when at the end of the day she/he won't be able to purchase basic commodities from the proceed of the sale. God will help us in this country

The cost of garri can only come down when everyone has a small farm no matter how small. Am very angry with myself now very angry, for not starting that last year. Nothing will stop me this year BY God's grace.
