MORNING MIST So bright is the day Full of light, life and vigour. Nature descendants all with easy fray Choice of styles there, outdoor Night is over, receding to the unknown Now back to world of human Irons, bars, chains by which he secures self to let Not against lower creations but man Man like himself who prowls the dark with net Fear of man by man, caging others for self to free. Night is over seems the sound of early tweets From posts to coasts, winging the air In diversity of colours, and sizes, mirroring amazing feats Whether to rise from sleep-support still fares On his mind of course, but for needs to meet. Suddenly a surge freely runs course on mind, A light of memory flooding with zest Thoughts of her, hers, and ours streaming to mind Like fragrance from Sheba, slaying with best To sing or to ring,to write or to sight, dreams of faculty... Boardroom banters are over, weaving letters won ways. Set me on my hills, a ready scribe touring miles on a spot Miles of mind, farther in distances and ways Deeper than oceans, and sea combined, host of salt A message to her to fetch that: *a day without you sours*! The Lord is my Shepherd I shall not want,he makes me to lie down in green pasture,he leads me beside the Stillwaters,he restores my soul,he lead me in d path of righteousness, even though I walk through the valley, of shadow of death I shall fear no evil. For thou at with me ,the rod and the staff they comfort me ,thou prepared a table before me in d presence of my enemy ,sure goodness and mercies shall follow me all the days of my life and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever and ever Amen!!! 3 Likes |

PERFECT TIMING.
The sun sets slowly, the day
dwindling out so fast, the
fusillade crow of the cock
announces the perfect timing
for a moonlight tale.
children singing in tiny
cogent voices: Old Roger
is dead and
gone to his grave.
I gazed through my timber
fitted window,
in my old dreaded cubicle,
clustered in spider webs,
and colonies of aged dogged
soldier ants, cloaked under my detached abestors
roofing sheet just towards
the surburb of Aro town.
While relishing the old good days, I scuffled into my past
as a time machine would do, capturing lost time and
space of my opaque adolescence.
Yea: I fought the good fight,
and unveiled the hidden
puzzle, leapfroging over
my strongholds, though unnerved; yet as victorious
as Jabez who called
on the God of isreal.
After which; i sang a song of freedom in my time dilation machine. 1 Like |

Come Nigerians sisters and brothers Let us gathered together To fight for the land of our fathers Something is making me bother Not becaus of bad weather But for Nigerian situation which is not in order Wicked are those who our leaders They don't think about the others Must they strike us like Thunder they are not our warders Prisoners not are we either They must have a rethink before making the greatest blunder Else, let them have their resignations tendered Nigeria is a country full of wonder 1 Like |

I am dirt in the sand, Given breath - To defy The silence that judges me, The voices of dissent, The arrogance that shuns me, The ignorance that doesn't know, I have dared to know myself, Show myself and grow, In my own substance, But they still will not see me. I am dirt in the sand, Given breath - Taken in the morning, Misused by day, To give it back again, When the evening comes; And at night, one grave holds it all - My sins, sorrows and regrets, They multiply when I'm not myself Countless, when I distrust myself And my body finds no room within to rest. I am dirt in the sand, Given breath - To tell a truth, Of singular tune, Taken in the morning, To sing my song by day, And I sang my song by day, Sung by night time, The song that I was given, No regrets, no sorrows, To crowd my deathless sleep 2 Likes |
