Guys, I apologise for my absent online and lack of update.
These week has been an emotional downturn for me. Even when I want to type, nothing seems to be flowing through my head. But please bear with me. I promise to be fine.

Next 3days are work-free days, I'll manage to drop update(s) during those days to make up for the absence.

86. COUNTLESS


'karma, what kind of a sick and stewpid arrangement is this? How could you do this to me?' I cried out mentally when I saw the dangerous stare on Jude's face.
'karma, its either someone have hacked your account and arranged my meeting with this dangerous man or you are also a backbitting deity. Either way, you don fvck up big time!' Karma was silent to my alleged statement and I took that as his way of consenting to my allegations so ended my discussion with it.

I rose up swiftly from the sofa, grabbed the suitcase containing the Ganja and held it firmly as I displayed a perplexed backward motion away from where I was seated

I took a frightened glance around and saw that the guys in the room were now standing very alert right from the moment their boss dropped that tension-arousing statement and I knew right from there that unless a miracle happens, a 3 minute of silence might soon be observed for me in the thunder kingdom but I still managed to summon up a farce courage to talk after returning my gaze to the sour face of Jude.

"your wife? I...I think you're mistaken here o...me that doesn't even have a girlfriend, how would I take your wife?" I paused when I saw the suprise expression on his face and quickly continued thinking he was subscribing to my farce claim. "with due respect boss, I seriously don't know what and who you're talking about." I completed my words with a counterfeited-aplomb manner.

One of the guys in the room approached him and whispered some words to his ears and he replied in the same manner before the guy walked out of the room

Cold shivers began a marathon race down my spine as the situation in the room become more tensed

After he watched the guy that just vacated the room, Jude let out the most gruesome chuckle have ever witnessed and took a long smoke of whatever ingredient was stucked inside the big wrapped hemp in his hand before he rose up and marched towards me with a bitter stare.

All this while, I'd opened the prayer application inside my brain and have been praying fervently to the gawd of thunder to come to my rescue.
'Gawd of thunder, please get me out of here please! If you do this for me, I swear to you with the amount of huzzling my dad made before he could afford his thirty-five thousand naira Mtn simcard that, I'll forever masturbate to your holy name....please I need you now more than ever. Please I beg you'

I minimised the praying app so that my mind could subconsciously proceed with the praying task.
I clicked on the 'HOME' icon of my mind and that returned me to the reality before me as I prepared my self for whatever it is to become of me.

Jude dropped the remnant of the hemp on the center table and blew the stored smoke in his mouth at my face.
"sure you don't know me. How could you remember the man you've been fvcking his wife? And am sure you don't know Doris too, do you?" He grabbed my collar and pulled me closer to himself so that our faces was now inches apart. "Doris.....my LovePeddler of a wife!" He declared that with a very acrid tone and released his grip on my rumpled shirt.
He made some wobbly movement before he returned his face to me

The telltale of his exponentially-multiplied angry face informed me that am going to have to say my last prayers very soon unless shango decides to answer my prayers.

"please....I still don't know what....what you're talking...." I stuttered

"stop the bloody pretense fool!" he barked. "Where is the boy that kicked me out of my wife's house? Where's your guts? Do you know how it feels? Someone taking your wife from you!" I was deadpan at his rhetorical questions and he continued. "you turned my wife and daughters against me!....my daugh-ters!....you hear that?" he made a painful chuckle and nodded his head sideways. "now am going to make you pay for all the pains my wife made me go through!.....Even from when the court decided our case!" He thundered conclusively and a moment of silence escorted his ambiguous speech

I was totally frightened and dithered on what to do during the silent moments. But before I could contemplate on whether to plead for my life or not, what happened thereafter decided everything

One of the 3 guys that accompanied Jude to the room approached him and gave him a cell phone

"Rohy, who's calling?" He questioned the fierce looking guy that brought the phone to him.

"na one of Evans guy boss. He said its very urgent." The guy called Rohy responded with a humble bow. Jude collected the phone from him and turned around, now backing me as he began to speak.

"what is it? Am very busy right now.......what? (silence).....how?........(silence).......goddamn it....wait....how did you escape?.......(silence)......ok...ok......keep in touch....." He dropped the phone to the center table. He turned around and his facial expression was featuring worriness and disturbance

I was left to wonder what might have transpired during the call that could have warranted such looks on his face.

But wetin concern someone awaiting trial with the thick tribal marks on the Judge's face?

"boss wetin happen?" Another guy claded in a baggy jean and a blue polo shirt asked him.
He was silent for some seconds while he was also simultaneously pacing the breadth of the glass table.

"boss is everything alri...." Rohy was saying when Jude cuts in.

"guys, the police have gotten Evans...." He declared outrightly and bit his lips bitterly


"arrrgh! Damn it!" I watched with confused look as the 3guys made a shocked gasp in unison.

"Terry said the police is after me too...." He paused and glanced at the other two guys standing beside the small bar at the rearmost section of the room. "Tgold and Lemuel, go and tell other guys to leave their post and start packing....we're leaving here today!" He ordered and the two guys hurried out to carry out the task that was given to them. "bloody police! Arrgh! Evans.....how will I get my money now?" He lamented bitterly and began to walk away from the room before Rohy spoke out

"boss what do we do about him?"

"about who?" He questioned without stopping or turning around.

"this guy here." Rohy stated, gesturing his hand at me. Jude turned around swifty and marched towards me with fury in his eyes.

"him?....." he paused and studied me carefully for some moments before he spoke. "drop the case in your hand!" he ordered me and I obeyed instantly.

He turned to Rohy. "Rohy, take that case with you. I need to get my money back from Beatrice somehow."

One of the guys he sent to pack came back inside before he could continue.
"boss which car should we keep the senator and his wife?"

"erm....call Ghadri to give you the car he came with." Jude said and the guy left immediately leaving only Rohy and Jude with me.

So it was all a set up by Beatrice herself. 'that cunning b!tch! Always setting me up with abject situations!....she'd been too sincere with this task that had left no room for me to be suspicious atall!.....but fvck me too! How could I have failed to see this coming?.....' I cried out mentally. 'But on second thought, I don't think she's aware of my past involvement with Jude.....but....but then, she also knew Doris....! Gawd everything is fvcked up!...'

"and about this fool..." Jude's voice arrested me out of my deep confusing thoughts. He shot me a sullen glare and continue. "hmmmm.... How best can I punish him o...." He seemed to ponder on what to do for a while before he let out another wicked chuckle. "Rohy I want you to finish him off. But before you finish him, you can fvck the sh!t out of him first before you cut off his d!ck and mail it to my LovePeddler of a wife." He declared abruptly and exited the room.

I stared blankly at him as he walked away from the sitting room trying hard to come to terms with the iminent doom ahead of me.

'no point in fighting this. Its going to end soon. Everything. All the betrayals, dangerous escapades and all of it. Its gonna end soon. Atleast am gonna be free.' Those were the thoughts that keeps on popping into my thinking app as the guy called Rohy pushed me forward and marched me out of the room.

"Darous, this isn't the time for you to tender your resignation to the factory of life. Com'on...you can do this. I trust you to use your brain to get us out of this situation once and for all...be a man and make use of your real head not the one that got us into this situation......you have to show all this bunch of backstabbing apes why you're shango's next of kin." One of my inner voice communed that to me on the way to the backyard of the building and that was all I needed to re-open my thinking app and started sorting for the best way to get myself out of that situation.
I couldn't recognise the owner of the voice but the guessing app of my brain told me it was my konji talking

Desperate times they say always dials the number of desperate measures. And desperate measures are what I needed right now.

"Mr Rohy..."

"shut up! Keep walking!" He ordered but I wasn't ready to obey

"just here me out...." He didn't say anything so I continued.
"before I came here, I already contacted a SARS friend of mine and gave him the information on where I'd be in the next 3hrs just incase something like this happens."

Rohy halted our movements and turned me around.
"what are you talking about?" He asked with a worried look.
Glad that my plan is working, I displayed a confident look and smirked at him

"what am saying for better understanding is that.....the police will be scouring here anytime from now if my friend doesn't hear from me in the next five mins."

"you'd better be joking! You are not serious!."

"you will find out in the next five mins." I replied in a standard manner.

He pondered on my statement for some minutes before he dialed a number on his phone.
"hello boss, I think you need to hear this."
He told his boss of what I said and ended the call thereafter.

"lets go to the boss." He said and we returned to the building.
