It's not wrong if its a once in a while thing. The husband is not superman and can be broke at anytime and this is where the wife steps in as the helpmeet. Problems will only arise if the man now relaxes and expects the woman to continue paying.

You should pack out if you're tired of the union, and if she can't cope alone with the financial responsibility of the house, she will also pack out eventually.

I think Africans need to change their mindset about these things. If a woman has the financial strength and means to foot the house rent,why shouldnt she? The last time I checked,God made man head and woman Neck over the family, meaning that their roles are compementary(husband feeds the family and the wife pays rent if she has the means to)and the Head is as important as the Neck...the head cannot stand nor function without the neck and the neck is useless without the head...This isnt rocket science-'tis common sense.

I think that a husband harboring the tendency to send his wife packing doesn't deserve financial assistance from the wife....though unfortunately she's married to that kinda man.

Your understanding about marriage is very low. Obviously you are a kid. Who told you couples who celebrate years of marriage never had issues that could warrant break up? Marriage is a maturity thing. Pray God help you with wisdom and maturity to manage it well when you get into it. It's fun if I must confess.

Nothing wrong in a woman paying rent BUT it is advisable that the man up his hustle to pay the rent or see the payment made by the wife as a form of loan and refund her when necessary, and with interest.
