That it drops doesn't mean men become infertile at 40. It means that the virility reduces. That is fact. A boy of 18 to 29 is more virile than he will be when he reaches say 40 or 50.

He says fertility drops, not that men over the age of 40 are infertile. I understand that only a single sperm cell is required to fertilize an ovum. So in theory even if a man produces only one viable sperm cell in a discharge he is still fertile, but in reality to have a chance in impregating a woman you must produce viable sperm cell in several millions. A 70- year old may infact be more fertile than a 30-year old.
