They say, human sacrifices was practiced in yoruba culture, igbo culture and other tribes in the country hundreds of years. But what is often not emphasized, is how the victims where sourced. If it is an established fact that human sacrifices was a feature of our past, then kidnapping must also have been a feature of our past as well.Hence, the current level of massive ritual kidnapping and killings are nothing new. It is a fact that many of the victims used by juju priests in olden days for human sacrifices to demons in the name of traditional african religion were actually victims of ritual kidnapping. It has survived till day.Another evidence, that the current level of kidnapping in nigeria for quick wealth is nothing new, is to go back and examine OUR record of slave trade fro 1600-1900AD. It is estimated that 3.5million Nigerians (most yorubas, igbos, ibibios, hausas and other tribes) were exported as human cattle by europeans who bought them as slaves from our own people.Over 40% of that figure were supplied via kidnapping raids and missions by our people.Kidnapping and constant war fighting where two of the major ways captives were obtained for sale to the white man.Hence all the kidnappings for rituals and ransom that has overtaken this generation is sign that nigerians are really kidnappers by nature.our forefathers did it for over 500 years and this generation is still doing it.It is shameful, that we still wonder where it all came from.It came fro our god damned idol worshipping forefathers!
