A woman driving in Texas got a major sssurprise when she recently noticed a snake poking out of the window of a nearby vehicle.

Amber Cranfill saw the reptile in the car one lane over, KTRK reports.

She told the TV station in an interview: 'Out of the corner of my eye, I thought it was like a guy with tattoos, cause it just looked like you know, when you hang your arm out of the window.

'But then I saw the tail move and I'm like 'Oh my gosh, this dude has a snake."

Cranfill said the snake 'was six to eight feet long'.

She recalled: 'He would gently pull it back in. I pulled away from the car, because at one point I thought the snake might fall out.

'I don't like snakes, but I didn't want to hit someone's pet.'

Cranfill was next to the fellow driver for ten minutes - yet only took a brief video because she didn't want to offend the driver, KTRK reported.

She explained: 'It's on one hand you think, well, he probably doesn't care because his window's open, you know, so he knows that it's hanging out.

'And he knows, I'm sure, he, or she, knows if there's a snake hanging out of the car, you're gonna probably look at it.'

Cranfill also posted a photo of the slithery creature on Facebook Wednesday, writing: 'No sir! Only in H-town.'

The snake may have been a python, according to KTRK.
