Still baffles me how Nigerian military get involve in civilian matter. Everything normal in other countries isn't normal here. Are we the only country that produce soldier?

Some of ours gallant men needed to be civil when dealing with civilians, landlord and tenant matter is not a military issue, here the solders are wrong are they got to pay for it.
A civil case is treated by police and not soldiers

Whether the guy got money therein or not, for the soldiers to beat him up inside the said room, is a crime. He has every legal right to claim anything as damages.

Soldiers don't handle a civil case and as such, they have violated his civil right. For them to even collect rent from him and also claim that they just assisted him is wrong. Collecting money from him even if it was for a month justified that they have rented the place for him and as such, they have no right to say they were helping him. They never helped him, rather they helped themselves.

He has every right to claim damages or that he lost 1 million naira and they must have to pay him.He should have contacted a lawyer for their action for inviting soldiers to a room they rented to him and not that they gave him for free.

I am surprised that some people could come here to say that the guy is an ingrate is just stupid. They never gave him the apartment for free.

Anyway, when they get to the law court, then they will realize the mistake they have made. The soldiers could be dismissed, demoted and still be punished by The Nigerian Army for their action.

Do not take laws unto your hands, it is a crime. Be warned.
