If your ideas are not well patched, you will stammer like “seyi law” if you pitch the idea before intelligent bosses. Digest your ideas well; assimilate the pros and cons of the idea. If you got a billion dollar idea, bad presentation can ruin it like project fame auditions shows. Some of those guys got great dreams, but simple pitching fall them like the law of gravity. Understand your ideas, pitch them well so that it can be approved by your clients or bosses as the case might be.

Except you are an activist within a government parastatal, let company goals override your personal goals where you work. Don’t be “Aluta Headache” within your organization. Some private organizations won’t even allow the spirit of aluta or activisim to thrive in their constituencies because it might hamper their goals. I have a friend who has been thriving with activism spirit where he works but he works well anyway. He delivers well such that there is nothing to hold him for in terms of job delivery. Sync yourself with the company goals, aspirations and future projections. Remember, if the company is fine financially, your salary payment won’t have comma.

Since you are not an under-cover agent in your organization, try and be visible when projects are going on. If you wanna thrive where you work, show commitment and visibility during project periods. Don’t stay aloof waiting to be briefed all the time. When you are visible and active, and committed to the project success, so many folks will take note. If the project turns out successful, you will be commended and even recommended for greater opportunities.

A punctured self-esteem is worse than a punctured contraceptive balloons. How you see yourself affects how you work and even walk. Self-esteemed folks look down on themselves too much. They need external gratifications like bribe to function well. That’s not good. Believe in yourself, believe in your capability. Ginger your self esteem by going against all side talks and achieve what you want to achieve. Use peoples side talks and caustic comment as stepping stones to greater achievement.
