Dear prospective​ NYSC Batch A Corp Member, I want to use this oppurtunity to insight u about what corpers are experiencing in Borno state. The hardship here is more than what I can describe... Imagine as a Corp member servicing in a state decleared as a war zone and not being encourage with something meaningful by the state government. The following are the challenges Corp members are facing here;

1. You are paid 1k per month as state allowance but u end up spending nothing less than 4k per week.

2. No suficient accommodation for Corp members and high cost of house rent from 90k upward and all on 19k allowee.

3. Discrimination of religion if you are a Christian and a single it will be very hard for to get accommodation here.

4. High cost of living all on 19k

5. No meaningful​ PPA for u where u will be paid.

6. No meaningful recreation center, flexing joint and even you can not stay out till 10pm cos of security challenges.



So dear prospective Corp members​ don't be deceived by the NCCF, MCAN, and NYSC to come to Borno state cos if u do u are on ur own. But if u are ready to combat the outlined challenges....U are highly welcome!

u can serve in other LG but anything IBADAN Price of commodity is high, most of their houses are old, with no portable water only Wells

capital of OYO state ibadan comprises of 11 different LG, u can hardly differentiate the LGs
1）Most beatiful places in ibadan are in d main road anything else is a mud House with brown roof
2）serving there is strict no travelling violators receive query which lead to extension of SERVICE year
3）State Governments are not paying, but if u are lucky u will receive State allowance like four times throughout your SERVICE year
4）prepare to rent self content apart with water at an average of 120,000. most PPA dont give accomodation especially public schools. or about 50,000 a mud House with Brown roof and sharing toilet with no portable water
5）most source of their water is well, which mostly dried up during dry season
