NYSC Fraud Saga: College Of Education Agbor Provost Debunks Rumoured Extortion Of Graduands

The Provost of College of Education, Agbor, Delta State Dr. Joseph Ukadike has debunked rumors making the round in an online medium, CCNIGERIA that the institution extorted it graduands awaiting the National Youth Service Corp (NYSC ).

The online publication had recently, alleged that the college which is affiliated to Delta State University Abraka , charged prospective corp members of the institution, N2000 for the registration and an additional N500 for bank draft.

The publication which went further to indict the Director of Degree, Dr.Florence Omumu, ICT Manager, Nwada Peter and the Registrar, Nwachukwu Pat also accused the institution of charging its graduands N200 for email address and N6000 for NYSC online registration .

Dr. Ukadike who was speaking to ossaioviesuccess.com, on Tuesday (18-04-2017) explained that, the N2,000 ( two thousand naira) the students paid was an administrative charge and was paid into the collage account in bank draft.

The provost explained that, the administrative charge was necessary since the programme is self funding.

He explained further that, the N200 ( two hundred naira) was used to open e-mail addresses for those that hitherto had no e-mail addresses or could not remember their password.

Dr. Ukadike maintained that, no graduating student was ever told by the collage/Directorate to pay the sum of N6,000 (six thousand naira) for NYSC registration.

ossaioviesuccess.com reports that the list of prospective corps members has been uploaded online and has also been sent to the parent university for onward delivery to NYSC Headquarters to enable prospective corp members complete the online registration exercise.
