The voice behind those ''Premier Beats'' - born in the Roxbury neighbourhood of Boston Massachusetts, Keith Edward Elam, better known by his stage name Guru ( a backronym for Gifted Unlimited Rhymes Universal) was an American rapper, producer, & actor best known as a member of the hiphop duo GangStarr along with DJ Premier. On February 28, 2010, Guru went into cardiac arrest and following surgery, fell into a coma relating to cancer treatment. He died on April 19, 2010 at the age of 48. #RipGuru! 1 Like
