So true...In cases where a sample sperm has the said defective chromosomal abnormalities and the pregnancy is carried to term, chances are the baby might be with abnormalities. So the involuntary abortion is nature's way of reducing the chances of birth defects.

OP, you could advise your friend to have himself checked. His observation isn't definite yet.

Their are several causes of Recurrent Miscarriage (its a medical condition). One of such is chromosomal abnormalities. Chromosomes are the vehicles carrying genes (like software code that make up the person). Some chromosomal abnormalities can't sustain life such that if they are in a sperm or egg and fertilisation occurs the formed embryo cant reach term, hence the body is made to eject it.

Needless to say, many things cause Recurrent miscarriage. D above is just one in the pack. #i'm nt implying that ur bf has no problem ooo, it cld be either party. To see a specialists (Obstetrician) will be a good thing to do in tackling this issue.
