As dreadful as the Spurs appear going into the FA cup semifinals challenge on Saturday, Chelsea legend and England national Frank Lampard has stressed on what Chelsea must look out for in the game, if victory should be assured against the North Londoners.

Lampard advised of a man marking, much like Manchester United shackled Eden Hazard with the man marking of Ander Herrera last weekend, Lampard advised one of the Chelsea’s mid fielder must do same to Dele Alli, who arguably is the best Spurs attacker.

“It’s a big ask for Chelsea to nullify Alli completely on Saturday, but it will be critical to the outcome of the game, Lampard told BBC.

” For that to happen it will be down to whoever plays in mid field for Chelsea, potentially N’Golo Kante and Nemanja Magic to top the service into him.”

Lampard stressed that, the timing of Alli’s run into the box, is his most valuable skill.

“The reason he’s effective is because knowing what he does is one thing, but stopping him from doing it is completely different,

” You cannot afford to give him any space at all and I’m sure restricting that will be an absolute priority for Chelsea on Saturday. ”

“They will obviously have to deal with Kane and what he’s doing up top too, but behind him Alli will play a decisive role if the blues allow him to.

Alli scored a brace to beat Chelsea in January and had since remain a potential threat up front to any team in view, stopping Alli on priority is definitely the way forward.
