These days it is a lot easier to move funds from one bank to another if you are technologically informed and equipped. Gone are the days of joining a long queue in banking halls to carry out transactions like moving funds. If you will spare yourself any hassle, there are more than one ways to transfer money.

Use short codes: Most banks have come up with easy to remember codes with which you can make that transfer while seating in your homes. GTB for instance use the code *737*1*AMT*ACCT NO to GTBanks, *737*2… for other banks, First Bank uses *894* AMT* ACCT.

Some banks allow free transfer but you may have to check with your bank to verify that.

Link your Accounts: Check with your bank to provide you with details on how to link your accounts. This has to be done before you attempt to send money. A username or password may be demanded to verify you actually own the other account.
