*Topic:* AVOID EYE SERVICE
*Read:* EPHESIANS 6:5-8

*MEMORISE:* _With goodwill doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men._ *(Ephesians 6:7)*

*EXPOSITION*
The reason why man cannot be original is because, the original nature of God in him became compromised and contaminated in the beginning, through the seed of sin introduced *(Genesis 3:1ff)*. You will find out that majority of the people in the church, workplaces and other private and public places always try, directly or indirectly, to showcase what they are not, in the real sense! All things they involve or are involved are done with sheer hypocrisy, all in the name of pleasing men, but displeasing the Lord! They are hypocrites (masquerades). A masquerade has these features: artificial voice, artificial face and artificial movements.

The tendency to serve superficially is very high these days. Jesus expressly condemned this habit and we must shun it entirely. It is good to impress, but the impression must be devoid of fake and ulterior motives. This accounts for the reasons why many are serving, but they remain in servitude and poverty. If you are always at becks and calls of your pastor, leader or boss, make sure it is not that men should see you. Rather, you do it unto the Lord.

The desired blessings for all our activities in the church will come, if only we can render them in our pure originalities. May God assist you to do this today and always. Be your real self.

*PRAYER POINTS:*
*1.* Oh Lord, destroy every seed of hypocrisy from my life in Jesus name.
*2.* Father, help both our sacred and secular leaders, to reward excellence among their followers, instead of only the boys or sycophants.
*3.* Oh God, I pray, Your ultimate reward would not elude me, for You are a rewarder of diligence.
