Brideprice In Different Tribes Especially Igbos by chenor(f): 3:13pm On May 01, 2017
Good day fam, I really want to ask a question that has been on my mind for a while.
Some days back, I had an argument with a friend, mind you we are both igbos. He was like Brideprice is optional, that his dad didn't pay any bride price, note that his mom is also igbo. I told him that his dad did, there's no way in igbo land that will happen besides his parents have celebrated over two decades in marriage and counting. This was really a heated argument.. He went further by saying he has some friends whose father's didn't pay Brideprice and all I could do was say Wawuuu.. I was shocked..

Now my question is, is this really possible in igboland and also other tribes?
Secondly what's the difference between Brideprice and dowry

Thanks
