"WhatsApp tells us that the messaging service is back after a global outage, the service became inaccessible for more than two hours on Wednesday. Here is the official statement from the company:
Whatsapp

"Today, WhatsApp users around the world do not have access to WhatsApp for a few hours," a spokesman said. "Now correct the problem and apologize for the inconvenience."

There is still no word on what caused the crash of WhatsApp.

Most users seem to have no problem connecting to WhatsApp now, although DownDetector.com indicates that there are still some affected areas. These should come back online soon, so be reassured if you still can not send or receive messages and calls from WhatsApp.

Original story below ...

WhatsApp was reduced in today's world, making the very popular messaging service unusable for more than two hours. The first reports that something did not fit happened at 1:10 p.m. Pacific time, according to DownDetector.com.

Although it is still recovering from WhatsApp, it should return to normal soon, the company tells us, and users are reporting the return of WhatsApp on Twitter. However, some are still facing problems like WhatsApp is breaking new ground online.

Here at the TechRadar San Francisco office, we can not connect to WhatsApp when we treat around 15:15 PT; Our outgoing messages were stuck in limbo and they had not received a message at any time. Now we can send and receive messages.

When asked about the outage, a WhatsApp spokesman sent us the official communiqué from the company: "WhatsApp is aware of the problem and is working to fix it as soon as possible."

There are no more details about the cause of the problem or just how widespread it is, they were close. Do not look at the latest service Twitter account for answers, either.

WhatsApp is a very popular message platform from around the world, counting more than one billion users per month. Today, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg revealed that the new WhatsApp status, similar to Snapchat Historias, has more than 175 million users in less than three months.

WhatsApp's problems follow another big story on the Internet on Wednesday: a huge phishing attack Google Docs spread through the web, trying to trick users into granting access to Gmail accounts.

Google ended the attack fast, but it is recommended that you pay attention to suspicious emails. Hey, at least now you can send a WhatsApp message to tell your friends about it, right?"
