Barely forty eighty (48) hours after President Muhammadu Buhari departed the country for a medical check-up in London, United Kingdom, Zimbabwe and world oldest President, Robert Mugabe has followed the same path.

While President Buhari’s stay in London is to be determined by his doctors, Mugabe has however promised to return to Zimbabwe at the weekend. According Herald newspaper, “President Mugabe yesterday (Monday) left Zimbabwe for Singapore for his routine medical check-up.

He is expected back in Zimbabwe at the weekend,” the Herald newspaper reported. Mugabe who came into power in 1980, regularly travels to the city state for health check-ups and private holidays with his last medical trip being in March.

The world oldest President who now walks with difficulty and sometimes dozes off during meetings made his last public appearance at the World Economic Forum on Africa last week.

At the meeting in South Africa’s port city of Durban, Mugabe addressed delegates in a slurred tone while he slumped in his seat. The Zimbabwean President’s health has been the subject of increased speculation in recent years, with the government denying a report in 2016 that he had died abroad during his annual vacation.

Despite Mugabe’s advanced age, the party last year endorsed him as its candidate for the 2018 general elections, as he has refused to name a successor.

Similarly, Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari departed the country on Sunday, May 7 for London, United Kingdom for a follow up of his Medical. His Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina disclosed this in a statement on micro blogging site, Twitter on Sunday evening.

Two senseless and foolish leaders. These are the clear examples of backwardness the African Continent is talking about.

They were elected to make things work but the reverse is the case.

Few days ago this same Robert Mugabe was saying Zimbabwe remains the most developed country in Africa after South Africa. Let him mention the yardstick for development let see .

Your country is the 2nd most developed country in the world yet you still have to fly to faraway Singapore for treatment, right? Are you not an old fool? And where are those monkies(Zuma and some of my countrymen) who were supporting him when he made that unpardonable gaffe? 90% of Africans have a serious problem thinking with their brains. Silly old men every where you turn.
