HTC at CES 2017 announced it's new lineup of smartphones with the code name 'U'. Only the HTC U ultra and HTC U play were released afterwards. Even with the high end specifications they possess non of them were regarded as flagship devices by HTC. In a way it seemed as if HTC used this already released U Smartphones to test it's new liquid design. Plans to release the first flagship in it's U seires was announced.
Mean while the already released HTC U ultra had a lot of cons to it's design.
So we hoped the HTC U 11 would bring salvation to the U series, But how true is this?

DESIGN

When discussing the HTC U 11 it's design takes the lion share of the discussion owing to the fact that HTC instead of their traditional all metal unibody design introduced a new liquid design .This same liquid design was featured on the HTC U ultra and the HTC U play.

The HTC U 11 features a symetrical 3D glass on the front and on the back.
This device features a 5.5 inch quad HD super LCD display with a resolution of 2560 x 1440. It's display has a screen density of 539 ppi and is protected by gorilla glass 5.
Something to note : even with it's 5.5 inch display the HTC U 11 not bigger than a smartphone with an 18:9 aspect ratio.

The meticulous engineering​ featured in it's display is aimed at producing a smartphone that can work excellently with Virtual reality.

Hardware on the HTC U ULTRA wasn't bad at all but the U 11 does it better.
The HTC U 11 is powered by the flagship snapdragon 835 processor, 4GB or ram, 64GB of internal storage for it's base version and option for micro SD expansion.
There is also a variant of the U 11 that features 6GB of ram and 128GB of internal storage.
There is a 16mp front facing shooter on this device. It features BSI sensor, an apature of F 2.0, HDR.
On the rear there is a 12MP ultra shooter. Which features speedy autofocus, optical image stabilization, dual led flash and an aparture of F 1.7.
All the components of this device is powered by a 3000mah battery and again HTC did not include wireless charging on this device.
SOFTWARE
This device runs HTC sense user interface on Android 7.0 nougat.
Another department of this device that has unique features absent in previous HTC devices is it's software.
The HTC U 11 features edge sense sensors that trigger shortcuts when the device is squeezed.
