A 5-year-old boy has been reported to have trashed his father’s money estimated at £5,500 (over N2million) after he was left alone in their house located in Qingdao, China.

The boy was reported to have ripped the bank notes into shreds putting the father, a businessman in a tough spot as banks have rejected the money stating that they will only collect the notes for replacement if he can reconstruct the affected notes.

According to news source, People’s Daily Online, the five-year-old who was left unattended to at home ripped up the money after finding a stash of 50,000 yuan hidden by his father.



Gao, the father of the boy was reported to have told reporters that bank would not collect the money for replacement from him adding that the pieces of the torn notes are too small to reconstruct thereby putting his hopes in jeopardy.

Gao was reported to have said: “I carefully tried for two days, but really can only put together a few. Some were torn into three pieces while others were torn into a dozen.”

Gao further revealed that the money was a loan from the bank.

If he doesn't get beaten to coma, at least his hopes of future education and good treatment in that house would've died the moment he ripped those notes
