Pls my 2000 model v6 Camry usually n occasionally will just make raving sound when trying to shift to 2nd gear but after 2-5sec it will change to the second gear....what d cause??can it be gear fluid, gear mechism or fuel pump??

The recommended oil for your engine is SAE 5w30
While your transmission needs the Toyota Type T-IV.

Thanks for your response, I don't understand what you mean by "my gear is slipping"

Have been using the car for 7years now....The gear that came with the car had reverse issues so I change it completely like 4yrs back. I have not changed the ATF in 2years now....could it be that the ATF need to be changed

Gear slip means the gear goes into neutral before engaging to next gear.
Before carrying out any major repairs, try changing the fluid first. If this doesn't help, then you have a faulty transmission.
What fluid did you put in it when you changed it 4yrs back?
