It was a very glorious night for Manchester United F.C. and its fans all over the world as the team defeated Ajax F.C. of Amsterdam by 2-0 in the final match of the Europa League Competition played at the Friends Arena in Stockholm, Sweden.

ManU Manager Jose Mourinho proved once again that he is an expert at winning cup finals as he led his team to a record-breaking win for Manchester United.

This was the best way surely to console the people of Manchester who had just hours before this game been thrown into a state of mourning when the city lost 22 people to a bomb attack at the Manchester Arena with some 60 others injured. A befitting way to bring some form of consolation to the mourning families of their dear Manchester indeed!

It was a perfect mix of angry mourners ensuring consolation for themselves and family members as “Commander” Paul Pogba (who is mourning his late father and now friends in Manchester) led the rest of the gang not just from the mid-field but also in attack as he scored the very first goal of the match for Manchester United making it his second in two consecutive games for his team.

This team had the touch of a typical Mourinho setup for the 12 out of 14 cup final matches he has won so far. This one was even more special as it broke a record as Manchester United has now won all the European Cup Competitions available on the continent.

Apart from that, Mourinho has ended his first stint at ManU on a real high after some disappointments in the Premier League as a result of a glut of draws there.

Possibly more importantly, he has also qualified Manchester United for the group stage of the next European Champions’ League Competition at his very first attempt at the club. This win surely is a very special one for every one in the team, the fans and people of Manchester City.

Lest we forget, the second goal of the match was scored by Henrikh Mkhitaryan who had a very dull first half only to return to the second as a hero very early in that half.
