There is no cause for alarm. In India, where cows are worshiped as gods, cattle do have the right of way. Nigeria too will join the ranks of the cow-worshiping nations in the fullness of time, and if you look at the way cattle eat farmers' crops with impunity, you will agree that we are well on the way to earning membership and formal induction into that proud league of nations. Most likely this particular cow, having learned about what obtains in India, was merely trying to make a political statement by strolling across the Third Mainland Bridge so as to honor an appointment to attend an urgent Summit Meeting of the Ungulates, which was scheduled to hold at the Institute of International Affairs on Victoria Island. Please go about your normal business, and whatever happens, do NOT, under ANY circumstances, attempt to insult of otherwise impede the progress of that cow, to ensure that he doesn't decide to decorate those long sharp horns, with your long intestine. Even in the USA, cattle have the right of way, and are in fact provided with official police escorts, whenever they venture onto the freeway for a leisurely stroll. This image was captured outside Houston Texas, on highway 290. Note how all the vehicles are prevented from disturbing the cow during this important exercise. 3 Likes 1 Share
