Benfica’s shot stopper, Elderson is due to complete a world record transfer within the next 24 hours to Manchester City when he undergoes his medicals.

Reports from the Etihad Stadium states that Elderson’s contract is worth £35million, this would be a world record for a goalkeeper and higher to what was paid for ageless Juventus keeper, Gianluigi Buffon in 2001.

The 23-year-old goalkeeper was highly instrumental to Benfica winning their 36th Portuguese title this season and possess qualities Guardiola loves in a keeper.
