The wide laughter and clapping reverbrated in the whole building as
Nate carefully raised the veil over her face and used his thumb to
wipe the tears on her cheeks before planting his lips on her's.

''Ladies and gentlemen, I now present to you the newest couple in
town.'' The priest said with a loud voice as they broke the kiss.

''Congrats man.'' K.C said patting Nate's back.

''Are you done teasing me?'' Nate asked.

''Not yet'' he replied, smiling. ''there will still be plenty time for
that at the reception.''

''...There shall be showers of blessings, this is the promise of love,
there shall be season's refreshing, sent from the saviour above,
showers of blessing, showers of blessing's we need, mercies drop round
us are falling but for the showers we plead...''

The hymn continued as the newly wedded were ushered out.

K.C kept a neutral expression as he followed them with Princess
closely beside him.

They got out and entered the waiting limo just behind that of Nate and his wife.

He busied himself with his phone while princess kept on starring
dagger's at him.

''What?'' he finally asked when he couldn't take it anymore.

''Don't you talk at all?'' she fired back.

''Sorry ma, good morning ma.'' he greeted with a feigned smile.

''I didn't ask you to greet me.'' she replied, ''I know you are my
brother in-law's friend and I also know that you are the only one
among the trio yet to get married. When is your own wedding come up?''

''Who sent you?'' he snapped at her.

Princess glared down at him, ''You haven't answered my question.''

''There are two books in my library, the title of the first one is
'How to mind your business' and the second is 'Respecting your
elder's' '' Good thing about him, he knows how it give it back in the
same measure in which it was given to him.

''Oga, when and where is the wedding take place?'' she asked.

''The date.'' Vicky replied.

''What date?'' he asked.

''Wedding date.'' Princess supplied.

Now sensing that big mess that he's in, he braved up and looked at
them, ''Whose wedding?

''Yours ofcourse, who else?'' Maryann asked.

Playing around with them no longer sounds like a a bad idea. ''Where's
Dami? She's my guest.''

''She's Nate and Jane's guest Mr,'' Princess replied, ''She's and the
other girls are with Nate's cousin, they're taking his Ford jeep.''

A warning alarm set off in his chest; Jealousy? Definately not!
'Mr, you still haven't answered the question.'' Mary reminded him,
''When am I getting the wedding card, I don't want to hear I don't
believe in love blah blah blah, cuz I know it's a big lie.''

''Please, you ladies should just spare me, please I beg you.'' he
pleaded, having lost interest an the big battle before him.

''We've spared you for too long,'' Vicky answered.

Now what? He wracked his brain for a perfect excuse to escape but with
the tension and nervousness, he came with nothing.

''Soon.'' he blurted out and the ladies smiled.

Raising her hand, Mary asked. ''How soon? Two weeks? Three? One month?''

''I don't know,'' he retorted.

''So which of them are you interested in? Matilda or Dami?'' Vicky
asked sporting a mischievious smile.

''That's a rather personal question.'' he replied, curtly. Good thing
Chidiebere couldn't make it to the wedding because of her kids
ill-health; if she had the seat would have been hotter.

''Mark today's date on your calendar,'' Vicky started as he glared at
her, ''The day you promised to get married soon, if that soon doesn't
come on time...there's something called arranged married, you know
that right? We will make it happen.''

''For a grown man or for a toddler?'' he asked.

any clue so we could start making preparations. Is she tall? Short?
Dark skinned? Light-skinned?''

The door open to reveal the driver of the Limo,

''Goodmorning Ma'm, please your husband wants to see you. He said he's
been trying to reach you but the call has been going to voicemail.''
He informed Mary.''

Why won't that happen when she's busy sticking her nose where it
doesn't belong. K.C murmured.

''Alright, thanks.'' she replied the driver, ''Mission accomplished,
see you at the reception.'' she said to her twin who nodded in
acknowledgement.

''K.C, you're lucky.'' She said to him.

Just as the driver stepped aside to allow her step down; perfect
chance! K.C lurched forward and escaped, not the best escape of the
centurry but it's better than remaining on the hot seat for Vicky,
Maryann and Princess to keep questioning him like a criminal.
He got out and looked around like a confused man, the first familar
car he sported made him glad to an extent.

He gingerly walked to the car and leaned on it, ''Mum, can I join you?''

''What happened to the car you were in?'' she asked.

''Maryann happened.'' he stretched forth his hand and his mum shrugged
and handed the car keys to him without question. ''Thanks for your
understanding of my predicament.''

They both got in and he started the car and followed the long queue of
luxurious cars streaming out of the church compound.

Nate turned abruptly and shook his head.

''What?'' Jane asked.

''Nothing,'' he replied. He thought he caught a glimpse of Juliet,
probably someone that looks like her.

''Wedding is almost over and you're still shaking like an over-fed
chicken.'' Jane mocked.

Earlier on, it was K.C, now it's his wife. What do they gain from.
