A Nigerian man has shared details on Facebook about how an ATM he used today, 1st June dispensed N5 note as a N500 note.

Be Careful at ATM
My personal experience today, Thursday, 1st June,2017.
I used my card at a GTB ATM this morning to draw some cash and to my amazement, a N5 note was pushed out alongside N500 notes to make up my total drawn amount.


I felt embarrassed seeing this and complained to the customer service / Manager. It was resolved after wasting my time to establish that it really happened.
My advice, always check your cash before leaving ATM and once notice such, use your phone to snap it as an evidence.

Somebody dropped the N5 there. Banks don't load N5 on ATM

VERY SENSITIVE when it can can detect an error dispense without debiting you .............. mtcheeew!!

It's not the machine that causes the error rather the way the banking core application was configured. Once it receives a request to debit, it does that immediately and when the ATM tells it to reverse due to an error, it cannot take that decision without authorization by a branch operations manager.

So even if the guy put coin I won't argue cos I know the high level of crimes going on by the loaders.
