- The Super Eagles of Nigeria have landed in Abuja on Friday night, June 2, 2017 after beating Togo in their last friendly game played in France.
- Eagles were impressive against their Togolese counterparts as Gernot Rohr's men clearly sent a signal to the Bafana Bafana of South Africa.

Nigeria will face South Africa on June 10, 2017 in their 2019 African Cup of Nations qualifier in which a win for the Super Eagles will definitely brighten their chances of participating in the showpiece after missing the last two editions.

A win for the Super Eagles will be an acceptable result from many Nigeria football fans who are still not happy with how Nigeria were unable to make it to the last two African Cup of Nations championship.
Just seven Super Eagles players and some backroom staff, arrived Abuja Friday Evening from France venue of Thursday's international friendly tie with Togo. Those who arrived Abuja are Chidozie Awaziem, Ahmed Musa, Sikiru Olatunbosun, Stephen Odey, Ikechukwu Ezenwa, Kelechi Iheanacho and Alhassan Muazam .
