The 35-year old suffered a cruciate ligament injury which will keep him out of action for a long time, hence will likely have to wait another year to have a go at the trophy. Ibrahimovic departed Inter Milan a year before they won it in 2010 and also suffered the same fate at Barcelona the following year. He also played for the likes of Ajax, Juventus, AC Milan and PSG.
