just start afresh by visiting www.npower.gov.ng

i have just registered again with a different unique number given to me. what next will i do, will they get back to me soon.

forget about the so called right site.
They hv modified the site for easier application.
Goto the new page and fill the right data and submit, then u will be given a unique identification number.
Remember to screen shot it for future reference.
Follow them on twitter or facebook, u will understand better

Have been trying to register but on getting to portal page, i cant seen to click on DOB, Marital Status, gender etc.. Why?

Website is npower.gov.ng
If you are experiencing same issue again then close your browser and start all over again.

please let's stop saying things we aren't certain about. if you have your source state it and stop making assumptions.
I registered using Google Chrome and I had such reference number including 3 of my friends that registered using chrome got such reference number containing Zeros too.
So what you are saying in essence is they are all Invalid?

Zeros are there. Your reference no is the combination of Nos and zeros

Note: The Unique ID each applicant is given at the initial stage of successful application with a certain BVN has this complete ID reference format: N-Teach-2017-00000123456-45 while subsequent successful application after the initial or first one with still same BVN has this format: N-Teach-2017-00000-55, N-Teach-2017-00000-25 etc
Which shows, the only valid and recognised unique ID reference number is the first one u have done whose application number is complete other than the ones with just 00000s#.
Take note please, in as much u have registered and got a valid ID reference code in ur first successful application, any subsequent attempts with the same BVN will always give u an incomplete ID no matter what, which thus shows u have to be conscious of ur initial unique ID reference number code by saving it or snapshot for future use.
