THIS IS A CONSEQUENCE OF THE ELECTORATE NOT GIVING A DAMN. WHEN EVER IT IS ELECTION TIME, KEEP SELLING YOUR VOTES FOR NYLON OF RICE AND GALLON OF PALM OIL. I WONDER HOW WE EXPECT POLITHIEFICIANS TO HELP US, WHEN THEY ARE IN POLITICS FOR THEIR OWN PROFIT. NOW THIS POOR BOY HAS DIED DUE TO NEGLIGENCE OF GOVERNMENT AGENCIES.

We are lack of maintenance in this country. Our electricity poles including the cables are all expired ones. There are some areas that are still using the poles and cables mounted by the whites before the independence. Our governments are too bad sad

Sometimes, i wonder if hell is that much different from Nigeria. Am not saying that accidents don't happen, but too many accidents screams carelessness, planlessness, and irresponsibility.

I mean, i see nations at war, under extreme sanctions, or with few resources, and these nations still look clean and habitable compared to many parts of Nigeria.

For pikin wey don die already

Whether you read the OP I doubt.

The child was rushed to hospital where he was confirmed dead it says.

Are you saying the lifeless body on the ground was after they brought him back from hospital or even at the hospital? shocked shocked

Common sense would tell me that after being confirmed dead, he would be taken to the police station (I see no policemen) or most likely to the mortuary.

Does it not seem likely that pic was immediately after the incident? If after the incident, who confirmed the child dead at that point to make CPR irrelevant? Is CPR not meant to possibly increase the chances of reviving the victim when the professionals eventually arrive or when the victim gets to them?

I write this epistle to make your mind work a bit. And because we have a country of very intelligent but poorly enlightened people who instead of learning, blissfully believe they know it all. shocked shocked

BUT most importantly, many like you would not do CPR in that situation, believing the child is dead without any professional confirmation. A bad mistake indeed.

Absolutely, but who will go after the company. What a Nation.

Another promising life is lost. I have never seen private companies been ran so poorly the way these electricity distribution companies are being run. This is an avoidable death. The company should be held liable.

I wonder if it makes any crispy sense to call Nigeria a 3rd world, 5th world would be far better. My God, I weep for the masses - suffering and smiling.

Nigerians need to learn how to give CPR. It just may save a life. Maybe his heart stopped and no one knew what to do to try restart it.
