Or by a man of means with pelf,pearl,rose
Sold unto whom,heart of dove or lion?
For many doth fain for love to conquest.
To whom and where does love ever so goes?
Yet this throng of men,so bow at her hest.

Do the sweet sound of a lute win her so?
Or of a sharp rapier that doth slay air?
Which that pleas her,men ever fain to know,
So for a victory,and her smile so fair.

Men shall serenade this as good a wine,
That which glads the hearts of this throngly heads.
Only a good try win her home to beds,
O a fairly maiden,all of men pine
