Looking at the new Microsoft surface, it resembles the surface PC's when attached to a detachable keyboard. Where things becomes different is when you realise the keyboard is not detachable.

The new Microsoft surface was built using a clamshell design.
As earlier said the new Microsoft surface bears the say design as it's predecessors, the only difference in design is the fact that it doesn't feature a detachable keyboard.

The new Microsoft surface features a 13.5 inch IPS touch display protected with Corning gorrila glass.
Its display has a resolution of 2256 by 1504, with an aspect ratio of 3:2.

On the top frame of the screen there is a 720p infrared equipped camera with windows hello support.

Though this PC support the Microsoft dial and Microsoft pen, the new Microsoft surface doesn't come with any of this in the box.

I think Microsoft is trying to discourage the use of these peripherals on this laptop despite the fact that it supports it.
