1. mind your business.
2. don't gossip about your boss to your colleagues. One day someone will definitely use an information gotten from you to score a cheap point for himself/herself (found that the hard way ).
3. don't get into 'personal stuff' at work. Stay professional.
4. always bear in mind that EVERYONE (and I mean it - EVERYONE) you work with is only out to protect their own interest first. When the chips are down, no one will take the fall for you.
5. developing relationships with your colleagues outside work might one day backfire in your face. If you are wise, you will notice that your colleagues also keep to themselves and socialise only when necessary.
6. "connect on a personal level"?. Well, watch it sha.
