*CAC LIVING DAILY DEVOTIONAL...*
*Date:* TUESDAY, JUNE 27, 2017

*Topic:* PRIORITIZE PEACE
*Read:* ROMANS 12:9-21

*MEMORISE:* _If it is possible, as much as depends on you, live peaceably with all men._ *(Romans 12:18)*

*EXPOSITION*
Sociologists believe that absence of war is not necessarily synonymous with what is termed, Peace. And at the same time, in the midst of war, there can be relative peace. In spiritual terms, *peace* refers to harmony or consonance with God, and resultantly, man. When you are at peace with God, it means He is your Father and God *(Romans 5:1)*. Therefore, peace is very vital, with God and others around us. There is absolutely nothing working without peace.

At times, carrying arms and ammunitions, preparing missiles and improvised explosions, do not only refer to absence of peace. God commands peace that is premise within the confines of holiness, as condition for seeing and being with Him *(Hebrews 12:14)*. As a matter of fact, Jesus wants us to prioritise peace-making over and above gift-giving *(Matthew 5:23-25)*. There is nothing profitable in a rancorous atmosphere *(cf. 1 Corinthians 14:40)*. A community where peace is lost is unhealthy.

Your offerings to God are unacceptable until you have mended broken relationships, resolved a strained interaction, and settled all fracas, all between you and others. Peace is power and prime. Peace is a priority as well as a progress. Any home that lacks peace is like a boat being rocked by itself. We do ourselves loads of harms by refusing to embrace and prioritise peace. As much as one cannot survive without food, peace with God and men is inevitable. Peace be with you, as you have peace of, and with God.

*PRAYER POINTS:*
*1.* I receive the grace to always be at peace with all men, in Jesus name.
*2.* Father, help us to tame our tongues, anywhere and everywhere I find myself.
*3.* Oh Lord, restore families that are heated up, and already scattering.

*EXTRA READING FOR TODAY:* Jonah 1-4
