Chukwudumeme Onwuamadike a.k.a. Evans, the suspected billionaire kidnapper, has dragged the Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris and three others before the Federal High Court in Lagos over alleged illegal detention.

Joined as respondents in the motion he filed by his lawyers are the Nigeria Police Force, Commissioner of Police, Lagos State and the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, Lagos State Police Command.
In a fundamental rights enforcement suit filed on his behalf by a Lagos-based lawyer, Olukoya Ogungbeje, the suspected kidnapper is praying for the order of court to direct the respondents to immediately charge him to court if there is any case against him in accordance with Sections 35 (1) (c) (3) (4) (5) (a) (b) and 36 of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
In the alternative, he prayed the court for an order compelling the respondents to immediately release him unconditionally in the absence of any offence that will warrant his being charged to court.

Evans have no case to answer - court doesn't work with 'them say' - courts work with hardcore evidence. He will walk free in court due to lack of tangible evidence - if his lawyer know his onions.

There is no tangible evidence against this guy - all we here are ACCUSATIONS AND MEDIA TRIAL BY THE POLICE! WHATEVER HAPPENED TO "INNOCENT UNTIL PROVED GUILTY BY A COMPETENT COURT!

HE HAS SPENT ALMOST 2 WEEKS IN DETENTION WITHOUT COURT APPEARANCE THAT ALONE AMOUNTS TO SERIOUS CASE OF HUMAN RIGHTS ABUSE! THE LAW DEMANDS THAT AN ACCUSED MUST NOT SPEND MORE THAN 24 HOURS IN DETENTION - IT IS THE DUTY OF THE INVESTIGATING POLICE OFFICER TO TAKE HIM TO COURT FOR THE COURT TO DETERMINE IF THEY SHOULD HOLD HIM FOR FURTHER INVESTIGATION OR NOT - POLICE HAS NO RIGHT TO DETAIN SUSPECT FOR MORE THAN THE TIME STIPULATED BY THE LAW - ONLY A COMPETENT COURT HAS THE RIGHT TO GIVE THE POLICE ORDERS TO DETAIN HIM FURTHER, BUT NO SUCH ORDER IS GIVEN AND YET THE POLICE IS STILL DETAINING HIM!

NOW THEY ARE CALLING PHANTOM VICTIMS TO COME AND CLAIM DAMAGES AND AT THE SAME TIME EXPOSING THE SUSPECT TO ATTACK AT THE POLICE STATION! THIS IS APPALLING!

he has been tortured by the police into admitting to crimes he didn't commit! there is an overwhelming evidence that this guy is innocent and has been severely tortured into admitting to crime he did not commit!


a good lawyer will defend and set hm free in a competent court and will then sue the Nigeria police for defamation and torture!
