A picture with tweets from Wizkid and Davido has been circulating around lately, one in which Wizkid allegedly shaded Davido about hanging with international acts and the latter mocked him about Drake curving him for an appearance in the Come Closer video. I made some background checks on their TL and found neither of both tweets. If Wizkid deleted the tweet, Davido who obviously won that round couldn't have deleted it as well. I also read Sammyramires' enthusiastic writeup on the issue this morning, in which he claimed Cristiano following him is a "big achievement".

In my opinion, the only way Ronaldo can actually help his career is by playing his song online or giving him a shoutout (Don't expect a world-class athlete whose social media accounts reach out to a demographic of over 100 million people to do that for free. Awoof can only be enjoyed by those who have rapport with him and Davido is lacking in that aspect for now).

Wizkid on the other hand has been smart about his career by associating mostly with acts in his line of work. Wizzy already has Africa at his feet and his clout in this continent of ours has been secured in a duffel bag. Wizkid's deal with RCA Records has also come with a lot of goodies which include exposure to artistes at global level given the fact that the label cuts across different genres of music. The major artistes an RCA Records include Taylor Swift, Chris Brown, Britney Spears, Sia, Zayn Malik, Miley Cyrus, Justin Timberlake, Avril Lavigne, Bryson Tiller and many others. If he wishes to team up with any of these headliners, being in the same label with them would make that easier. Case in point, he got Chris Brown on that track "African Bad Girl" which is going to be on his next album- Sounds From The Other Side. Having international artistes on the album is definitely going to boost sales. And Wiz has even managed to meet artistes like Stormzy, Jidenna, Rita Ora, Rihanna, Future, Ty Dollar $ign and others who are not his label mates.

So, the whole thing was made up by overzealous fans trying to cause confusion.

I keep saying it, the most gullible set of people dey nairaland, dish them all sort of info and you see them jab at each other without verification. I knew the whole tweet was a sham since day one, check the screenshot Davido tweet uploaded by the OP with the photoshopped tweet that has been trending online and spot the difference in name.
