This phone has been my daily driver for the past 10 months. When I saw the Oreo update, I was excited maybe I would use it more utill the year ends before I change device. But after the update, some things were good and somethings extremely bad I may sell it sooner than expected.

Oreo Update

1. No more finger print app lock. This was a very useful feature I enjoyed. Gave a lot of privacy now its gone as I have to rely on third party apps.

2. Most utility apps like music, file manager, calendar etc are now of Googles. Not that it's bad but I kinda preferred the native apps. I know I am not using stock Android.

3. Aggressive RAM management (This is by far the most frustrating one). With all the settings I have done to keep my most frequently used apps on whitelist, it keeps reloading my apps when I multi-task especially Chrome with so many tabs in it opened. It sucks really.

4. The screen does not get dim enough. The lowest brightness is too bright most times for indoor use. Was better on the 7.0

Other good development is

The blue light filter they call "eye care". The feature that turns your display to brown or milky color so its easier on the eyes at night or dim places.

Good battery chart page and indicator in settings. Very easy to understand.

Battery life is still okay. Getting 1hr per 10% SOT consistently as I did on the previous Android version. (As seen on the second picture)

Cleaned up settings, nice icons, overall it's better looking.

Camera UI now sleeker with some pro mode shooter options if you're into that.

Other touches in the notification tray, quick toggles, screenshot, drop down animations, call log, pop ups.

A GOOD UPGRADE OVER ALL BUT I WOULD HAVE PREFERRED FUNCTION OVER FORM.

Honestly, they should have finished all the work on this before releasing it, now we have to install countless updates after this 2gb download, No 4g symbol, shortcuts from nougat are messed up here

Infinix fast charge on the note 4 pro is a 5V 5A = 25Watts which is extremely fast. So you need a micro USB that can carry a load of 5A. Sadly, most micro USB on the market are max 3A, majority are 2A.

Plus I would add that Infinix is a terrible brand for not giving us replacements.

The only solution if you still plan to use the device for long is to buy a USB C cable, then a USB C to micro USB dongle. Most USB C cables are 5A capable so you'd get fast charging. Total estimate for both would cost you around 3-4k.

As for Me, I repaired mine grin laugh if you want to grin

Currently fast charging cool

bro bugs are fixed gradually
that's why they released it for you to review it and spot the bugs so that they'll fix it.
they'll optimize it well with time
it's common on every phones including Samsung

but in all i love this 8.1 cool
