So, while you’re getting excited to have this latest operating system installed on your device, here’s a list of 5 things you should know about Windows 10.

The Return of the Start Menu

Thus, it didn’t go down well with many people. This time around, Microsoft decided to bring it back. Only that now, it would combine the old start menu and the live tiles featured on the start screen of Windows 8 systems.

Here’s the catch though; you can decide to remove the tiles if you don’t want it. It’s totally your call.

You’ll pay nothing to download it
Microsoft is offering Windows 10 freely to those who wish to upgrade from the previous OS versions. In order to meet this criterion, you must be running the Home or Professional edition of Windows 7 or Windows 8.1.

A New Browser
Microsoft Edge is now the default browser for Windows 10, technically replacing the popular Internet Explorer. In contrast to IE, Edge is a super-fast and lightweight browser that claims to offer hassle-free internet connectivity.

Easy access to the control panel
Since the majority of your computer settings are found in the control panel, most people still wouldn’t like to go through the stressful routine of trying to locate it. But Windows 10 is offering something new. The settings interface is now placed where you can easily access it- just right there on the taskbar.

Cortana and task view button
Some features of the Windows taskbar were tweaked up a bit and that includes the launch of the Cortana assistant by Microsoft as well as the task view button. These new features were actually designed to help carry out certain tasks like chatting, sending emails or searching for an information.

Conclusion
Windows 10 is believed to provide more interesting features that would thrill you. However, if you’re interested in utilizing it to your benefit, then you might as well give it a try.
