The four-digit tyre age code is usually located in a window on the tyre sidewall: The first two digits of the code represent the WEEK of production during the year (from 01 to 52) while the second two digits represent the YEAR of manufacture.

What you will find on tyres is the manufacture date. Take a look at the this date and add 5 years to it. In the picture example, 1612 represents the 16th week of 2012. Add 5 years to get 1617. This means you are advised to replace the tyre by 2017
