A Nigerian Pastor, Dr. Abel Damina of the Power City International Churches, has reacted to the ongoing trend of pastors asking members to sow for blessing..

Possibly reacting to a viral video of Pastor Matthew Ashimolowo, who told his congregants to sow N1000 or $1000 for every year they have lived, Dr Abel condemned the act..

In a series of teachings, uploaded on social media by comedian Ali Baba, Abel Damina mentioned that giving is not done to be blessed but out of blessing and not for the returns of it.

He further established that an act of encouraging church members to give for multiplying effects from God is a fraud and an insult to the works of redemption and grace.

That is the trend Na. That ask for people to pledge a certain amount in exchange for anointing.

The lord asked me to annoint X numbers of people who could bring #50k each by this time next next week. Na so you go see people rush go front they would clearly be more than the number Daddy pastor said God asked him to annoint o. But he would not send the extra givers back o. He will still collect and annoint them
A pastor did this and I said.... If God asked him to annoint 2 and 10 come out, why not ask 8 to go back since God expressly said ANNOINT 2? . After their own anointing you go hear pastor start to say okay, if you have #40k-#20k come out... #10k com out..... #5k come out those that don't have stand there and Lt anyone bless you with seed to sow. Then highly expectant peeps who want doubl portion of annointing would raise funds and they too will pay and get the anointing of #100, #50, #10 etc

So pathetic to see many acclaimed men of God rob people of their wealth all in the name of being blessed as if they also paid for the gift.
