According to Kabir Laminu, a graduate of Biomedical Engineering, University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital, Borno, his friend and colleague, Simon has converted to Islam. He now answers Abubakar.

Laminu announced this on Facebook on Monday, July 24th.
