they both have almost the same specification aside the battery life and memory size...but I feel Nokia brand is more reliable

The Nokia is a beast in terms of durability, go online and watch videos of it.

I checked the specification of Nokia 5 and I feel it's cool for that price, though I'm a fan of Samsung but if this phone was available when I bought my Samsung, I would hv gone for it

Depending on your financial buoyancy ...go for the Gionee A1 ...good camera n good battery n wat else does a lady need in a phone if nt dis!

I use Gionee m5 ... N if I happen to want to buy a new phone Gionee A1 would b my choice! ...but money determines whether it would or would not b possible!

Stay away from Nokia 5 ... Pls if yu hv the money!

That's your personal preference. Personally I don't like my phones smaller than 5.5 inches.
The gionee a1 is would be my go to choice.

Guys I eventually picked the Nokia 5.
It's over average phone for me. Say 7.5/10.
Weight is very okay, quiet light.
Grip is good, not bulky, one of the reason I don't want the Gionee.
Camera experience is very good.
Battery life is good, I get averagely 10hrs on use, browsing, gaming among others and definitely extended when I dont use all those.
Speed and performance is a little ok, the multitasking is cool.
Compared to my HTC I think the phone is worth the money.

Disadvantages for me.
Internal memory is a disappointment, I have to get sdcard.
No front led flash for camera.
Phone could be faster.
Just like normal Android I need to root to get some unrestricted use.

They're not the same price point, Nokia is a lot cheaper and the front facing camera on the Nokia 5 is nothing to write home about inspite of its manual mode. maybe Nokia 6 vs Gionee A1 is a better comparison.

Nokia 13mp, 2gb ram, and 3000mah battery. while gionee is 20mp, 3gb ram, and 4000mah. they are both 5.2 inch.

One thing you guys failed to note
Gionee rarely or never even release updates for their phone. But Nokia on the other hand I believe would live up to that

sister I beg you,, go for gionee A1.. it is all for selfie with a good lasting battery. Recent chipset,android version, encryption chip for hiding important that comes almost all gionee phones. Ir blaster or remote controller.

The choice is yours sha.

it is still cool sha but you should have added 6k and go for a1 lite 5'3 inches, 3gb ram 32 gb rom, 20mb front camera and 13mb back with front flash.

It's a pity I bought the Nokia before I found out about this, I would have considered it.
